I'm in the process of installing new NGK BP6ES plugs in my XK120 with Pertronix ignition (replaced distributor) The new plugs have the Resistor designation on them. I've changed my wiring to resistance wire is it acceptable to use R plugs as well? Thank you, george young

Default Pertronix distributor

This is a year old thread, but I hope to get some information on installing a Pertronix distributor in a Jaguar which came with the DVX6A distributor. You indicate that you've installed a Pertronix distributor on your 120.

I'm trying to install one, model D179600, positive ground, on my Mark 7. It seems that the distributor shaft is too short so that the drive dogs don't engage in the engine. Any suggestions or comments about your experience with the installation?

Thanks
