Default Rear fender trim

On my XK120 there is a piece of metal that appears to be brass that trims the rear fender opening. It has come loose and i assume it is silver soldered to the fender as there are no screws. Does that sound right?
Thanks.

More research shows that the part in question is a rear fender wheel arch molding. I don't need the part just attachment advice. Silver solder from underneath when the fender is off will work fine I'm sure.
Trivial issue really.

Original the brass trim around the fender opening was riveted, on the ends were silver soldered.
