What is acceptable show quality paint thickness

My 140xk has had total body off restoration and repainted to approx .26mm > 3x factory recommendation. Will the thickness be a problem? It was stripped to bare metal, and the following were applied: base epoxy, primer, adhesive cost, 5 coated of paint and 5 coats of clear. Each were allowed to cure and block sanded between coats.
The doors, hood and trunk are yet to be painted, and I’m getting push back from a new paint shop.
is this typical paint thickness on a show restoration?

I am puzzled why the shop put on 5 coats of finishing paint assuming this is modern 2-pack and not cellulose. It won't do any harm, I'm sure. Of course, in the old days with cellulose, several coats were commonplace, because to get fine finishes and no orange peel, a lot of thinners tended to be used, and this flashes off leaving quite a thin film. Also with cellulose, it didn't give "gloss out of the gun" so much polishing was normal, and this, of course, removes some paint.
