Can anyone recommend a UK based specialist for the DG 250 automatic box from an XK150 please? Looking to buy a completely rebuilt box with guarantee from a known UK gearbox specialist.
Does anyone have experience dealing with Norfolk Transmissions Ltd? I see they advertise a rebuilt box on eBay, but no website up or feedback to speak of.

G Whitehouse autos are experts in these, I think they are based in Halesowen of that sort of area.

I've bought parts from them and they have given me some great advice in the past.

 

Are you a member of the JEC ? There are normally a few adverts about autobox rebuilders in the magazine. I have not had any experience of them, only of a firm in Crewe who rebuild them. Our job was on a Van Doorne trasnsmission (steel-belt type) bon a Rover 25.

They have been in Crewe for many years, and when I have been for an aircon regas, they always seem to have one or two boxes in course of rebuilding.
However, if you're on the South Coast, Crewe will be a bit too far, I suspect.
