ABS light on, then clears itself.
Hello, my ABS light has been coming on a lot lately (1 or 2 times weekly, 3 weeks) and of course I get the ASC and traction warning at same time, but yet it will go out by itself after stopping turning off ignition and then restarting.
The traction and asc warning go out immediately and the ABS light will go out in 30 seconds or so.
The other day this same sequence happened and I got a transmission light and a restricted performance warning (first and only time) . Those lights and warning stayed on for a while I tried turning engine off several times but always stayed on.
Waited overnite and started again and all is well, no lights.
My thoughts are that a Jaguar mechanic is in my near future. Anybody have any thoughts on what or why??
Ps. Car seemed to run fine the whole time restricted performance was on and I was on freeway doing 75MPH. I'm maybe thinking the sensors need cleaning?
Or is there more to it than my limited knowledge of thinking.
I will look for thread on cleaning sensors but if anyone happens to have it handy it would be a pleasure to just click on link :-) Thanks for any thoughts,
I found the link to cleaning wheel sensors. Thanks Rev Sam.. The sensors can be cleaned in place, correct? Just get them exposed.
Happy Motoring to all...

Whether it's the sensors or not it can't hurt to clean them. I don't have the link handy, just saw it a couple days ago, though!
Ok, found it! https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ors-faq-37434/
