Get the Jaguar Extended Life Coolant, for five years service why would you want to take any risk. Just think how much better it feels filling the system from that Jaguar branded gallon container.

There is Prestone's all makes and models which is green/yellow and uses the same horrible chemicals as Dexcool.
Since you don't know what is in there I would recommend flushing it and putting what ever you like in there. I would recommend Zerex G-05. Long life with out the harmful effects of Dexcool.

Thanks for the replies. I added about 8 ounces of distilled water for now. I'll flush it all out and start fresh when the time comes.
I have never seen Zerex G05 anywhere here. I looked about 2 years ago, and again more recently. Will check again.
There must be something about my region, as this sort of thing is frequently a problem...
Very few nice vehicles, very little driving competence - no offense to any of my neighbors of course.

Take a look at the following link to the Zerex website. Zerex G-05 is NOT
recommended for use in Jaguars .....
http://www.valvoline.com/pdf/Zerex_CoolantChart.pdf
Use Zerex Dexcool per Zerex specifications.

I have used the Autozone Yellow mix w/ anything in all my cars w/o a problem for many many years. The single caveat is that I replace the coolant at least every year because I am either performing work on the cooling system; or as preventive maintenance care. I never reuse any coolant. Always fresh. And always distilled water... never from the tap.
All of the problems associated with Dexcool are associated with neglecting to replace coolant and are a result of leaving the coolant in five or ten years wherein it turns to what you and I would refer to as slush.
Some European owners need to be careful with the phosphate content off their antifreeze reacting with aluminum; but that type of coolant is not available in the US and is a non issue here.
