Very carefully.

The housing kind of slides off to the front of the car and the LED assy is glued/clipped to the glass.

After repair, you glue it back to the glass supported by something until the glue dries.

It will probably break due to age/exposure to the sun...but it can be glued back together. And windshield glue works well...

A new LED strip is $10, might as well replace it. I got the one shown in my pic from a place that wraps cars...

I tried pulling it out but it won't move...is there a tab or anything like that or it just slides out?

The light is in two pieces. The case is held in place/secured to the inner workings by two, square plastic tabs that are on the bottom. A mirror may help you to see them and if you have a rear speaker taking that cover off sure helps with seeing and doing the work. (The cover is held in place with a series of perimeter tabs and if you distort it by pushing or pulling on it, they will come free and allow its removal.) The light tabs get depressed (pushed up toward the glass) allowing the case to slide straight back (flat to the package shelf). Once the cover is removed, I am at a loss as to how to help because my inner workings were loose due to broken plastic parts. I am going to have to use adhesive to get mine to stay back in place. As it is now, the inner working just slop around in the holders attached to the glass. Speaking of which: there are two metal holders attached to the glass that are designed to secure the light in place. Heat will have taken its toll on the plastic pieces and you may need adhesive to hold it all back in place.

Oznium no longer makes the ten inch LED strip but the twenty inch ($25.00) can be cut every two inches so it's easy to modify. (think hack saw) Buy the RED LED strip as the white/clear ones can wash right through the old red lens making it barely pink. Surface Mount LED Light Bar Red (P/N: 1276)
I used a Dremel tool and a small sanding drum to clean up the melted tabs used to hold the old bar in place. Once the bar was removed I used the same tool to remove the tips on the posts so I had a flat shoulder to secure the new unit. Crazy glue did the trick. I also swapped the new bar's connector for the old one's. I found it to be easier to do the swap on the bench vs. trying to do it in the car on the harness. Be sure to WATCH YOUR POLARITY when you connect the wires. LEDs conduct in one direction only and reversing the polarity means no light function.

Now if only I could figure out how to get the whole thing properly secured!
