#1 Fuse Blowing

#8 Fuse Blowing
2006 XK8 with 42,4XX miles; the last week or so the #8 fuse has gone out twice which kills power to the driver's seat controls, however the seat will still move just fine when the memory buttons are pressed.
I took the four seat bolts out and looked a the wiring and all appeared to be fine. The module cover looks good as well.
Would the next step be to take the module out and check the traces? Or is there somewhere else I should be looking?
Thanks all.

Assuming it has the correct 20 amp Fuse #1 in the Driver's side Fascia Fuse Box.
Broken traces in the Seat Module are a common issue and it certainly is a good plan to eliminate this as a cause. However, broken traces usually only affect functions. I would tend towards a harness fault as the reason for blowing the fuse.
The bunch of cables emerging from the carpet under the seat (this is my RHD 2005 XK8) flexes every time the seat is moved backwards or forwards and there's plenty of scope for breakage or power to ground.

I corrected the fuse number, it is #8 , not #1; driver's side, bottom fuse, right column or the column closest to the driver's door....left hand drive.
I did inspect the wiring harness between the seat and the floor; the nylon covering looked fine, no wear spots, holes, tears, etc.....was 100% intact. No rub or wear marks on the module bottom. I did not cut the plastic wire ties to drop the module box down.
So far so good; fuse is holding again.
Thanks

Took the advice and removed the seat from the car, turned it upside down and found where the harness covering had been chewed-up by one of the shafts. Upon closer inspection I found three wires with bare spots, luckily none broken.
Access was not very good, but was able to wrap each wire with some electrical tape, put all the wires back into the loom and then wrapped everything with tape. Secured with wire ties and hopefully this fixes the problem of the #8 fuse blowing.
Time will tell.
Man is that seat heavy!!! I like how my Corvette is better; seat comes-out separately from the heavy motors & tracks.
Thanks for the suggestion of taking the seat out and turning it upside down.
