Mine came with the battery so whoever installed it likely just tossed the kit and dropped it in as-is. Hopefully I will be able to get the kit by itself.

Turns out the Exxon station down the street sells Interstate batteries and they gave me the vent kit for free. So the battery is now happily vented to the outside.

Yep but it only needed about $6 to refill it from where it was...

(It was probably one they forgot to install in a customers car )

Dave, I grew up working at the Esso on North Main, were Pineyforest Road comes into Old 29. Then worked a the hotdog joint in the "V".
They sure tore hell out of Dan River Mills the last time I was up there to see my brother.
Good find on the battery bits, I couldn't find them at SNG, all they had was the grommet.

They tore the old Mill buildings apart mostly because some company bought all the old timber out of them. I moved here from Petersburg about 10 years ago and live downtown. Been trying to sell my house for the last 5 years and finally got a contract on it and then it appraised for $40k less than what I owe on it so it looks like I am stuck here but I can't afford the mortgage anymore now that I am on disability.
