1997 XK8 Check Engine Light
Greetings All!
1997 Jaguar XK8 convertible. Accidently drove it thru high water. The car did not stop. However, "check engine" light came on. Car started next morning.- light still on. Drove to shop. Told that two sensors were "shocked" by water- 5 error codes came up. Not told what they were. Told that an airpump or something of that sort opened up but was failing to close. They cleaned and dried it out. A few hours later said all was fine - light was off no more error msg. Charged $80 for his time. Car has been driving fine. The check engine light came on again. Auto Zone checked - mesage reads "no link". Mechanic closed until Monday. I'm wondering if its safe to drive.
All gauges reading normal, and the car is driving fine.
Could it be some latent damage from when I drove through the high water last week?
Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!
