1997 XK8 rear speaker problem
#21
So thought I would get pics to help
This is one mysterious bolt in the back ... there is also another one
This is the sill that seems to be put down pretty good
This shows the side clip came loose but is hung up on something on the seat side.
As a side not you have to take the speaker box out? or when you get to the bottom picture in your guide guys, you can just take the speaker out and replace it with the five screws.
Thank you for all your help.

To remove the speaker cover you need to remove all the screws up top and the seatbelt bolt then push back to release it from under the sill then pull forward and the cover should come out.
As for that bolt it looks like it is part of the bracket to hold the speaker box in place.
You can replace the speaker without removing the box.

I replaced mine and this should help JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource
I would use this tutorial rather than taking the seats out.
It took me a few days due to -20 F temps and I am a little slow but got the speakers in.
Solved the rattlings sound in the rear (was the bad speakers)
and the entire system sounds good.
Thank you Gus !
