Default 1998 XK8 with Vanquish Body Kit on eBay

Nearly done and given what this is the price isn't bad. Might make a fun summer project: https://www.ebay.com/itm/174338084397?ul_noapp=true Still a ton cheaper than a real Vanquish.

I'm perplexed.

The Jaguar (XKE, XK8, XKR...) are, bar none, the most beautiful cars on the planet.

Logically, shouldn't Vanquish owners be putting XKR bodies on THEIR rigs?

That's what I thought, until I saw my mechanic's DB7. It's what the XK should've been in my opinion, the whole experience makes my car feel like a toy, as much as I hate to say it.

This replica doesn't look great.

I really love my XK, but the Aston just seems better put together. Maybe it's because I'm used to my car, but the interior really seems to be something special, the exterior is stunning in person, even under the hood the attention to detail is really something, it just feels more exotic ,for lack of a better word. I wasn't convinced 'till I saw one in person. However, I remember the first time I noticed an XK8 I was amazed as well.

That's the first period 'Aston' I've ever seen where I like the interior. 😁

Just found this terrible image, figured it belongs in this thread with the fake Vanquish.

Talking Is that snake skin on the roof ?

Wow ! That's the first "pimped out" XK I've ever seen.

You haven't been paying attention. Many "pimped out" XK8/XKR photos have been posted on this site over the years, some far worse-looking than this one (and admittedly, this one is indeed hideous)....

Both of those have been hit with the ugly stick. (IMHO of course !)
