1999 XKR Fuel Pump
#21
Well...all done, the fuel lines weren’t that difficult, 🥴 lines came out quite easy, I did this on axle stands! I found the tank more difficult to remove from the boot/ trunk, I was about to push the tank back onto the shelf when I noticed the filler tube was free, so took the tank right out, also renewed the stuffer pins/ seals and connectors on the tank, I opted for the Jaguar pumps although I purchased the aftermarket ones from British parts but exchanged them for genuine. Everything went back nicely started up after a few turns. Now! I’ve got a suspension fault light on, I’ve checked all the wiring for any cuts from the sharp edges on the tank, all good, I can’t see any plugs or wires pulled out, how do you get to the plugs on top of the rear shocks? I’ve checked the fronts and I’ve checked the module and the accelerometer, both in the boot area, I’ll keep looking.
I took the back light out to make more room.
This where I pushed the tank back in and realised that the filler was free.
