"Camber setting is adjusted by rotating the lower-wishbone rear fulcrum bolt, which has an eccentric shaft. However, in some markets the eccentric bolt is not fitted and the original fulcrum bolt has to be substituted with an eccentric bolt to enable adjustment. The eccentric bolt is supplied by Jaguar Cars Ltd."
You have identified the Part Numbers correctly for item 8 and the alternative eccentric shank bolt:

The major cost difference is probably because JZB100085 is the standard bolt and JZB100086 is the eccentric bolt.
I can find no reference to the use of the eccentric shank bolt in JTIS which suggests two things:
1. it is fitted only if required during manufacture to compensate for variations in front cross member / mounting geometry
2. instructions for retrofit will be the subject of a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin)

Graham,
Thanks for the info. Discovered that one of the previous owners had bent a tie-rod. Looks like it can't be replaced. I found a rebuilt unit for a reasonable price. I think I'm going to have the shop install the new unit and a couple of eccentric bolts if necessary. I was shocked by $75 a bolt.
I'm finding out how proud folks are of these Jag parts. I need a headliner and the local Jag dealer wants $1400 for what amounts to $10 worth of fiberglass and 2 yards of felt!
Pretty sure my wife is going to kill me when she sees the AMEX bill....
Wish me luck.
Thanks again. Rick
