2000 xkr lean bank 1 and 2 restricted performance
I have a 2000 XKR restricted performance Lean Bank One and Two.
Thats all the codes say, what in the world is wrong????
, MAF ,new air filter , new plugs, no leaks in air intake ducts, O2 sensors new, put smoke bombs in intake no leaks. This sucks!!

Well snooping around, a dam egr bolt was missing, the other out 1/4 inch !!!!!!!!! Engine sucking in raw air, after the MAF.
The EGR VALVE just dangling and the gasket for it missing at the face of EGR to Engine.
Well, so I made a rtv exhaust high temp gasket sealant at face of egr to engine, then replaced the missing bolt at the bottom and tightened the upper bolt. How in the world did this happen?????!!!!!
I had the car at Jaguar 3 times, they could not figure it out and blamed it on a diverter er valve or something without even bringing my car in the shop, and charged each time I came.
Anyhow, the bolts are good, EGR now fully attached to the engine, she runs great !!!!
thanks for all your help.

Well, the flex pipe is in excellent shape.
No EGR codes, so no need to fuss with that.
The only thing I noticed, was the oval cavity/passage from the Lower Throttle Body to Egr had carbon buildup around the walls, leaving a narrow passage for EGR flow.
I used a screw driver to break it up,but you have to be careful because a little piece of carbon can cause your egr valve to get stuck open.
However, if I were to do this again, I would just let seafoam soak in the lower TB to EGR cavity over night, to liquify the carbon, instead of fighting it in its hard crunchy form.

You can follow the egr pipe to the egr itself, then use a mirror and flashlight to check the valve by hand and bolts as needed. Not familiar with your year.
But Jaguar could not figure it out or really even wanted to, just wrote"could not duplicate problem on my 1st service ticket", the second time"removed and charged battery" the third time"customer declined to replace fuel filter for further testing" even though the pressure was fine.
Make sure the car is cold.

Well I had the same problem of the EGR value bolts. One of mine was sitting on the trans housing. The other was loose.
Cause Jag dealer!! When the did the TSB for the flex pipe they didnt tighten the EGR bolts so one fell out, also while doing the job they also stripped one of the bolts but at least they did fix that!
I was lucky I noticed the bolt sitting on the trans housing but it was 5 yrs after they did the TSB!

There is a drain at the forward inboard corner of the box, so that's probably where your bolt went. But did it fall through or is it stuck, blocking the drain?

I don't know. I would have to yank all the computer stuff out to get to it and I really don't want to disturb that stuff.
