Default 2000XKR More messages than I can handle

I just finished several repairs and reconnected my battery. I haven't even turned on the key and the message center is displaying every fault known to man. Disconnected and reconnected the battery several times making sure not to break the initial connection. Would a "Hard Reset" possibly fix the problem? What is the procedure? Would I then have to visit the dealer for reprogramming? Thanks in advance!

I just found the Hard reset procedure so sorry I posted for that info. I will try that tonight. However, is there anything else I might try if the rest doesn't solve the problem?

Don't know what work you've done, but you might want to go back over everything very carefully and make sure you've reconnected everything, replaced any fuses you may have taken out, etc.

Hopefully the hard reset will do the trick...but I've seen similar behavior when I had forgotten to replace a fuse I had removed.

Make sure the battery is fully charged also, especially if it has been disconnected for some time.

OK, battery is fully charged and I tried the Hard reset - no luck. Can't connect to OBD. What I was working on was replacing hydraulic hoses from top latch to pump, installing pressure relief valve, and replacing stereo amplifier - so seats, carpet, rear quarter panels, trunk interior, center console, left passanger fuse block, stereo/ nav equipment from trunk was removed. I didn't find anything wrong yet but am still working on it. Any thoughts are appreciated.

What messages do you get?

Edit: Just reread your first post, I guess you have tripped your inertia switch. Just push the button of it, it will probably solve it all.

Here you see the switch on the right side of the fuse box:

No Problem, but please don't ask me how long it took me to resolve this issue on my car...

I wish all problems were this simple, and cheap to fix.

If you don't have an owner's manual you may not know that when reconnecting the battery you need to allow it to remain connected for 30 seconds or so (too lazy to go out in the garage and look it up.) The computers can get freaked-out if not allowed to fully boot. Personally, I allow a couple minutes betweendisconnect/reconnect on any car. I'd hate to have to explain why an airbag deployed randomly while I was working on a car... (don't know if it could happen but I've seen a lot of other weird things happen to good techs.)
