That happy Whoo! at the end says it all.

Glad it's running again.

I ordered the new tensioners today, looking forward to that project now

It's going to be hard to *not* drive it in the mean time, but I'm thinking better safe than sorry. Rather 5 days w/o the Jag than another eternity of a dead Jag hogging useful garage space and wishing I'd have swapped out the parts and done the right job.

I did go for a good 40 mile spin through the mountains (Western WA) today though. Oh man what a car this is with the top down and the radio cranked. That'll have to be good enough for now.

Once again, thanks to all of you.

Dont leave it to late, would be a shame if the tensioners screwed up the motor of such a lovely car. Well done for getting it sorted.

Cool, good result & great to see it running again. While your doing the tensioners dont forget to get a dump of the codes just to see if there's a reason for the shut down that was the start of your sorry saga (sometimes when your up to your a*$£* in alligators you forget your initial aim was to drain the swamp):-).
