The Blue Top solenoids make the shifts better. I can feel them!

 

I believe you! But they're not compatible with my 2004. If only it were as easy as performing a J- mod. (Also a Tbird guy here, from the TCCoA side of the fence.)

 

Funny..I have an allan supercharged 4.6 tbird as well as a turbo sc and a 2.2 twin screw powered SC....none of which are running at the moment lol.


Id be interested in that valve body modification for my xjr...Its a 2004 with the 6 speed

 

Nice! Small world. I also have an AED 4.6 ('97), but sadly it's for sale as I need the room for a new winter vehicle. Prior to my XKR, I've only owned T-birds...3 of them, 2 of which were pretty heavily modified. Now get yours up an running!

 

Just to add to the title topic for future readers, I've done this as well and there are definitely better shifting feel through the gears up and down, ALSO I notice a yet firmer shift in sports mode, that maybe attributed to the higher RPM shifting.
