Default 2002 Xk8 4.2 love it newbie

Hi all.

Bought this but from dealer who took part ex no mot abs light on needs 2 sensors and floor small patch that's it.

2900 will owe me 3250 all done.

4th jag I've had and easily my fave by far and I've owned xjrs and xjr before now. Spent 5 hears working at jaguar special vehicle ons on project 7 and 8. So chuffed to own an xk8 4.2 now. Especially for under 3 grand.

Any leads on good places for front springs I need a set asap. Drivers floor panel patch be good too as the fluted.

Any advice be fab.

Best place for MOT is Windmill motors in coventry ...very fair not too strict and knows jags.
Let me know how you go with the SRS light ..I have a "fix " that will get you through the MOT.
Check under rear seats for water ..leaking back window and the little rubber thing around the wire to the boot lid. Water under back seat spills over and under the carpets to rot out the footwells. Mine had about 2 gallons in it.
If the windows dont close right the carpets get wet.
Not actually in Coventry but in Rugby very close to the M6 junction with A428

Intrigued to know the abs fix. Rear windows are tight and dry carpet btw.

Need a decent welder to put small patch in drivers floor. Got a set abs sensors was just gonna fit. What scanner is best for these. Got Bluetooth one, vagcom lead for pc and seven hand held but none go into decent detail codes.

Any tips there be good.

Thanks for welcome.

Try cleaning the wheel rotation sensors to fix ABS. Just turn steering wheel to max will give access to front. Back requires wheel removal.
Bill near New Orleans.

Nice car. You will enjoy it, and sometimes hate it, but it will still be your favorite.
