Hello Low beam headlights on my XK8 have stopped working. I have checked the fuses as outlined in my owners manual, and they are fine. I have swapped relays and no difference. I have pulled the bulb out and all the filaments look fine. All other lights and accessories work fine. No issues. Very much would appreciate any suggestions. Not terribly electrically capable, but willing to try. Thank you.
Are you talking about the High Beams, which are most likely Halogen Bulbs or you talking about the Outside HID Bulbs, which are the Low Beams.....Our outside Beams are our Low Beams and they are HID Bulbs, which require a Ballast to operate. Quite often, the Ballast burns out making the Low Beams in operatable. And again sometimes it's the Bulbs.....If it's the Ballast...be sure to replace them with the same Brand and Part number....In addition to making the HID Bulb work, they also control the Up & Down focus of the Lights.....
There are several U-Tube articles on how to do this...I don't have one right off hand but you have to go in though the fender well...Hopefully, someone will give us the details for the repair......You can do it as I did it....and if I can do it....anyone can!
It was beyond my imagination to think that BOTH bulbs could be out a the same time, but that is indeed what the issue was. 20 year old bulbs ! Nothing lasts forever I guess, and perhaps I overthought the whole thing. Should have started with the bulbs.
I bought new and the car won 2nd place in the Southern California Jaguar show in 2017. It is a 99.56 point car, and I was told by the three judges that it would have been 100 points if it had a front license plate bracket. I told them front plates were not required in the state I lived in and it was delivered, but they still wanted to see it with the car!
It has 42K on the ODO and I have loved every minute of driving it!
Now I know that I don't know anything most of the time! Sorry! Glad you got the Lights fixed......

The dog you see in the back seat is my pup Bailey. He is a " Comfort Retriever" and the cutest dog I have ever know. Very smart, built from three breeds Golden Retriever, Toy Poodle and Cocker Spaniel. He is a constant companion and has travels coast to coast and border to border many times.
His ears are usually not blown back by the wind while the car is just sitting there, but up high on that mountain we had quite a breeze Sunday.
Couldn't resist sharing picture of Gabby. The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever got the title Tolling for playing in the water attracting birds for their hunter-masters. Golden dogs are pretty attractive, to game and people..

Good dogs are hard to find. Bailey was found in a pile of dead pups outside a building in Tijuana. I got him from Baja Rescue. They had nursed him back to life, named him " William " and then posted a picture of him that caused a sensation online. Many people wanted him. I felt very fortunate that I was the lucky one to get him!
Love your Dog and Love your XK8 Convertible! My first XK8 was a 1998 Coupe and it was Topaz! Your 2002 Convertible appears to be Topaz also but I've been wrong so often lately that I thought I better check with you on that!
