Some updates
I got in the "carbon fiber" mirror covers from Adamesh, they are hydro dipped chrome covers but they came out OK looking. Bought a hydro dip kit and will mess with doing a few things myself. Wrapped the door latch handles inside the car and they came out better than I thought they would. Picked up some blue trim and used that to replace the chrome trim on the rear lights and got some wheel protector in blue and used that on the wheels. I may switch that to black as I think it may be too much. It keeps me from nicking a wheel it'll be worth it. Pictures below:

Impressive door handle, you have to have put some time into getting to to lay that nice over a complex shape.
Having a black car, I'll admit considering the mirror covers but balked at the 3M tape part thinking they might look a little "stick on".
How nicely do they fit up around the edges where it meets the grey trim?

Here is what it looks like from the other side. Since the back of the mirrors appears to snap off I may try to hydrocoat these instead. And yes the handles were a bit difficult. Took a few tries to get them right.

Up close
Realize these pictures are close-ups from any distance you likely wouldn't notice the gap. I'm going to hydro dip the X150 hood lovers from Adamesh, if they come out OK will try the mirror backs. When I took the clear bra off the mirrors I almost pulled the backs off by accident so they seem to come off pretty easy. With wraps the edges might be a bit of a problem but am getting better with wraps so we'll see. Wish the turned metal wrap stretched better as it would be fun to use it in more places.
Here are a few shots from a distance. (Car needs a bath)

Nope
I do but recall the US 5 MPH bumper is huge and when we tried to mount it we would have needed to modify the bumper skin substantially to get it to fit and then it still might droop. I'd need a European nose to get it to work right. But the billet grill I was using was flat so a flat grill might have fit. I thought the billet grill was likely too restricting and I wanted a strake. I'll probably change the nose at some point and then use the bumper. We'll see how the AM bumper project works out. Adamesh did have a flat version of the grill I bought but the web site said it wouldn't fit so didn't try it, they are the ones that sold me the billet grill as well. At this point I should likely get a volume discount from both of you at this point.
As a side note my mechanic is working on a lift kit (front only) for the car so I don't drag my exhaust as much and I can get under the car more easily. We'll see if it works out. He does restorations and had a lady in there the other day with a V12 E type. She'd spent around $25K to have someone else rebuild the engine and whoever did it really screwed the engine up. Sad story it was a tribute to her dead husband who loved the car. Those 12s are a bitch when they go south. Wow, apparently I'm chatting at 5AM in the morning (waiting for a plane in Orlando).

As I am working on a US XK at the moment it has given me the chance to see what issues there might be. The bumper beam is not fixed to the bumper, and the US bumper is exactly the same as the UK, no difference at all, all I had to do was cut the front part of the mounts off and the beam went straight on.
All that aluminium extrusion the US bumper beam has is not present on the UK bumper beams and is not required, the only reason it is there is for US legislation, they are obviously a believer in touch parking......

Bumper
Hey, I just realized I have the black flat grille in a box in my basement!! Let me know if you need it. 50.00!! It was a Mina grille I had on my car before I painted it and went with stainless. Just cut off the two aluminum over riders, and the grille screws to the bumper inside.
Sure, I'll take it in case I change my mind. Give me your PayPal email and I'll shoot you the cash.

Back from the paint shop
OK just came back from paint with the new rear bumper new spoiler the front redone and the hood vents redone. I had a set of the newer vents for the car painted again just in case but I like these. Having an argument over whether the rear defuser should be black rather than blue (its the part between the exhaust pipes and below the bumper) give me your thoughts. It was easier to paint the whole bumper blue and then add the black once the blue had cured for a month. It was getting dark so I'll take another set of pictures tomorrow in better light and with the top up.
