2021 great Covid escape run
The old lady has been moaning about not being able to travel and I got an unexpected 2 weeks off work so we decided to go on a road trip. The government has been loosening the Covid restriction and we both have had 2 vaccinations so we figured it was safe enough to go. The round trip was about 2500 km (1600 miles) and took in some of Western Canadas most beautiful scenery. We went to Penticton in the Okanogan, Calgary via the Rogers Pass, the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller and Jasper via the Columbia Icefields before heading back home. I will never doubt the car again. It performed flawlessly from the 40+C heat of the Okanogan to the climb of over 1900 M to the Columbia Glacier. I've added a few pictures.

Long road trips are where our cars SHINE. My wife and I have done several and plan more. Our best was three years ago when we put on just over 9000km in just under a month. We went from St. John's Nfld (home) as far as Ft. Wayne Indiana in the US and covered a lot of New England, Ontario and the Maritime provinces along the way. Zero oil or coolant loss and outstanding cruising range and fuel economy at 110kph
