4.2L Upper Fuel Line

4.2L Upper Fuel Line
Appreciate any help in locating the fuel line segment next to the engine going from the chassis metal line to the fuel rail interconnect for a 4.2L NA engine. I believe this line was sold complete at one time, but have not found any source currently. The chrome pulse damper (with the number 030214A stamped on it (?)) is leaking from where the ribbed connection nipple joins the body of the damper. Welcome any ideas for fixing/replacing the line or the damper (although reluctant to work with the old two-layer rubber/plastic segment).

I replaced my leaking fuel dampers with refurbished items from injector planet
Ford 2W93-9F775-AA Jaguar LandRover fuel pressure regulator Genuine OEM
on eBay for $50 per damper. You might be able to get away with just replacing the O-ring but I opted to change the whole thing because didn’t want to disassemble my supercharger again. You just pry open the damper to remove it using a flat head and then push the new one in with even force.

FWIW, sometimes parts that are listed as an assembly for our cars seem to be available as individual parts for other cars in the lineup. You might want to check the S-Type 4.2l or whatever XJ also featured the same engine. OTOH, that damper is probably not fully required so you should be able to build whatever section of line you need out of what is generally available.

Reply to fmertz: Thanks for your reply. My hang-up with this part was the lack of an accurate picture in the parts catalog. When looking up the part number given - C2N2587 - it was listed with "No image available", and, when checking the parts diagram, the line shown was for the 4.0L engine. Thus my quandary. I believe the C2N2587 part number is correct for the 4.2L engine (another member may be able to confirm such), and I have gone ahead and ordered it. The good news (I hope) is the part is currently offered online for $111.00, not the old list of $278.00, so I will not be attempting to repair my existing line. When the line was leaking previously at the damper, I was not able to fully stop the leak, even though I carefully/lightly double-clamped the line on each of two ribs of the damper nipple (and damaged the damper in the process). I will offer an update if any of the previous is inaccurate. Thanks again.
