It's British Racing Green... for now, quite similar to both of my Camaros (yet I don't like green very much...) and a tan leather interior, much like my Z28.

Even though it's pretty much a done deal, it's not official. Until the money has changed hands, I will keep searching for my dream car.

As it stands right now, I can keep both cars which is excellent news.

The XK8 should be ready Monday, or at least safetied. Might be able to get it E-tested but I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm hoping to pick it up Wednesday evening once my custody battle finishes another round. Until then, I keep shopping and tomorrow night I make yet another trip to Detroit (that'll be 5 trips in the past three weeks) to enjoy myself some good ole Iron Maiden and Dream Theatre then it's off to London next Friday in my new XK8 to see Night Ranger, Peter Frampton and Alice Cooper.

Alice Cooper? Is he still alive?

I got teargassed at an Alice Cooper concert ... oh, 32 years ago!

You are going to repaint it in another color? Don't do it! BRG is beautiful (although I may be biased) All you need are some nice wheels you will be set.

Great, now you have me hunting the internet for new wheels for your soon-to-be-acquired XK8

19" Montreal with tires (needs one new one) maybe out of your budget...but with tires, maybe?

Send Ken@britishparts (also known as motorcars ltd) an email, he's a member here. They have at least one XKr with some 18" double five wheels that are on a salvage car. They look good on coupes.

Go here for the pic.

This here is what I'm going for. BRG will be okay for the short term I think, especially if I get special emblems made to replace the Jaguar on the side with a moose (symbolic of my daughter's favourite animal, a Canadian icon and my favourite beer). But that car pictured is my ideal creation. We'll see what happens.

Yes just a little out of my budget and that's before shipping.

I can honestly say I'm not much of a fan of those. If they came stock, hey great! They do look gorgeous on black convertibles though... and that angry looking silver coupe.

I must admit I am a fan of your wheels. I'm also a fan of the wheels that start of has 5-spoke at the hub and halfway or two thirds of the way to the rim, they split in two. I came across a couple of pictures but now I can't find them.

I appreciate you keeping your eyes open!

Now, if I'm not mistaken the tasteless car I linked to there has been spotted elsewhere. I think I've spied it here, minus the gawdy wheels.

You do know the 19" version of the ASA JH9 wheels are on sale at Tirerack.com. 139.00 USD each, machined not chromed. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resul...00&autoModClar=

I am not a fan but, to each his own.

No problem, will let you know if I see anything else that fits. They're just isn't a whole lot of big, flashy wheels available. Aftermarket options are like nil...tire rack has only 2-3 options, as does any other website. None of them I would say suit the XK8. Then again, all the good ones from an XKR are very expensive. I have only seen one set of 19s like mine come up on ebay in the last three years, I have a standing search for 19" jaguar on there.

I think the ASA wheels would look quite a bit better in a machined finish and without the black accent.

Yes, yes. Those are the wheels I'm strongly thinking about. I need to find somewhere across the river to have them shipped then I can go over in a truck and bring them back myself, rather than pay the extra $100 or so have them shipped directly to my house.

I've photoshopped them on various colours of Jaguar and I'm happy with that look.

I'm not too worried about flashy. To me, something like this and this is flashy and would totally ruin the look of the car.

Jared, can't help noticing in the attached pix that the aerial is up about a foot. If it is a motor problem it could be expensive. If it is an aerial mast problem, not so much, but tedious repair if the mast cable is broken off in the motor.

Are you sure we can't talk you into OEM 19" Atlas wheels? These are staggered and engineered specifically for the car, you can even get them in chrome.

Wow. I didn't even notice. Now I'll have to double check.

I'm sure. Those are nice and much nicer than the Revolvers, but they aren't my first pick. In fact I like the wheels on your XKR much better than those Atlas ones.

^ Perseus model I think, not too many in the US. UK though has some.

Save some funds, we'll find you a set.

I don't think they're Perseus. Perseus go 1/3 from the centre and split. His appear to be 8 double spokes. Perseus are nice though.

Which set do you have?
