Got my Rebuilt ECU back from the same place for the $400. Jags been running fine for a couple weeks now. I do have a P1227 code that comes up from time to time. These same folks will Rebuild the throttle body for $295 which will save me from spending $1825 for a new one. And they will stand behind their work. Thanx again James for pointing me in the right direction.

That's them. I had one of our owners send his XK8 ECM to them on one of their Ebay ads. Worked perfectly when plugged in. I'll be using them for the next throttle body and see how it goes.

My 97 XK8 Coupe is still going strong. I sent them a note asking about my P1227 code referring to the Mechanical Guard Circuit in the Throttlebody. They knew excatly what caused it and what it needed. They even told me what to remove and send without sending the entire throttlebody. I highly recommend folks to call or e-mail them with engine or module code issues. Here's a link to their ebay store. http://stores.ebay.com/ABS-ECU-ECM-E...MPUTER-REBUILD

Hope this will save you folks some money.

After going back and forth with them today the ECM goes out tomorrow from my car, so what is cooking there. They do this good work as folks are reporting, they will be in work for a long to come with all these Jags on the roads with these electronic ticking time bombs scattered within them, ha ha ha.

You are attempting to communicate with a 11 year old thread. It does sound like a typical 97 ECU failure is coming. Try doing a google search of ECU repair. I think some one in CA had it done in the past several months.

Rebuilt ECU ..?? the only bits that go bad are the electrolytic capacitors and you can change them yourself if you are good with a soldering iron ..they cost peanuts.
