Pulled it, soldered it and put on the UltraGray to cure for the night.
Will reinstall it on Thursday and pray that the fix worked.
Had a tough time getting the box open. Had to use the dremel to cut it open so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the seal will be tight.
One of the terminals was loose and the other just starting to break.
Thanks for the great instructions and pictures showing how to attempt the fix. I will report on Thursday as to the outcome of my repair job.

Yippie Skippie! The fix worked!!!
All the warning lights are out! Yea!
Bled the brakes too and all is well.
Thanks to this forum I have saved the cost of a $2800 ABS computer replacement and a expensive brake job
Suggest you take off the whole top per the forum instructions in oreder to get a good seal of your lid. Plus it just looks good.
So you turned the key and be honest, you were expecting the light to stay on. And admit it, you turned it off, waited awhile, and tried it again...just to be sure the first time wasn't a fluke?
Ha! Ha! Yes sir, correct again. I never thought the fix would work because of the invasive way I used the dremel with a fibre cutting wheel to cut off the lid. But we just sanded the edges and made a good seal, let it sit overnight and it worked like a charm so far.
But keeping my fingers crossed that the wet weather of the NW does not find a way into the box to cancel the repair.
Just a happy camper at this point.
