I recently purchased a 2002 XKR through ebay. Wasn't told about the ABS warning light (Trac Control, etc) being on until I flew to Memphis to pick it up. Was startled to read the price for a new ABS unit when i got home. Last week I took out the module and found the typical solder joint issue. I fixed it and it works great. Had a problem finding the E5 star socket in Minneapolis but eventually found it in a kit at O'Reilly auto (PN GM0035). I didn't want to wait to order on the internet. Also I used a black RTV silicone Type 270 from VersaChem (PN 27039) to glue the module back together.
Three weeks ago I fixed my seat head rest as discussed on the forum and shown by Rev Sam. It was daunting to undo the leather from a seat but it was fixed in under an hour.
Now on to a rattle in the front end.
