Congratulations...sorry you had to go through all the mess, but that car on E-bay was very nice. You'll love it.

Thanks, it sure looks nice. I've never owned a black car before, will be interesting to see if I can keep it looking clean! The only reason I allowed myself to get a black one was because I have a garage for it.

I don't know how old the original post is on this but I had to add my story because I have felt your pain.

I hit black ice on I-75 coming back from a mini-vacation to Sanibel Island, Fl, now known as the "weekend from hell". I lost all control and went down and embankment and slid up underneath some heavy brush. My passenger and I were not hurt. The air bags did not deploy, the soft top was not damaged, from what I can now remember as it has been a few years ago now, there was only damage to one quarter panel and I was feeling pretty good about it.

Sadly, the JERK with the JERK (tow truck), I believe broke the frame when yanking it out. I had to sign a waiver that I wouldn't hold him liable for any damage done to the vehicle in order to retrieve it. Hind sight 20/20, I'll never do that again.

My beautiful 1998 XK8 that I had for less than a year (bought second-hand), was totaled. I completely lost it when I got the news.

I ended up calling my doctors office and telling them I needed something to calm me
down. I told the nurse whom I knew, that I wrecked my car and they had totaled it. And I didn't just wreck a car, I wrecked a Jag!

I finally ended up with an '01 XKR, and am very happy with it. Well, until I blew the engine in it two days ago.

I have a feeling I'm going to be able to write a book soon about my Jag experiences,
all at my hand. I've yet to have a problem with them except what I've created.
