Acessory fuse

I installed a Whistler built-in radar detector thing about two months ago. It took me forever to route the radar wire through the firewall but eventually, success! However, I was running out of light and patience so in order to get it up and running, I pulled the "accessory" fuse on the driver's side and plugged the spade connector in there.
Now, the radar detector works great but the odd thing is that it doesn't seem like anything else has stopped working. Is anything actually powered off of that fuse? It's not the cigarette lighter socket, that's definitely a different fuse (first thing I fixed on the car).

Do you mean the 10 amp Fuse No 17 for the Accessory Socket a.k.a. Auxilliary Power Socket?

There's two locations for the optional 'Accessory Socket'. Either in the Glove Box or in the Luggage Compartment. If you haven't got one fitted, then the 10 amp Fuse No 17 won't be protecting anything.
