Default Adaptive control damping? R Performance?

Trying to buy Bilstien Shocks for rear and the vendor tells me that the shocks they have fit a 1999 Jaguar XK8 Coupe RWD with adaptive control damping and R performance. Pardon my ignorance on this but are these not XKR options? I just want to buy the shocks for my XK8 but like everything else with this ride, simply identifying what you need and buying what you need is a task to say the least lol. Help Please.

The price is way too low for an adaptive shock but is about right for an standard one. It would help if they provided a part number.

If you are looking for OEM replacement Bilsteins, they have a part catalog where you can look up a 99 XK8 and get the real Bilstein part number. With that you can search for the specific part and find the best price.

Thank you. How do I know if I have the electronic (CATS) suspension?

Look under the bonnet, if there is a wire running to the top of the shock then it is the active suspension.

No wire, then regular shocks. And thank your stars, the CATS ones are $400 ea.
