You need to lubricate and check movement on the latch closed switch it could be stuck. See link below.

I agree with Gus and suggest you lubricate the latch.

Default Thanks Gus

Cleaned convertible top latch and loc pins. Cycled top three times. Topped up fluid to top line on reservoir. I recently added the pressure regulator from Gus, cycling cleared the air. Cleaning worked on top latch. All is good in Jag Land.
