Air filter at dealer - $ 58, NAPA Gold filter (Wix) - $ 28...OK to use?

Back on topic here, best I can determine, the Jag filter is made by WIX, a German company that also sells exactly the same product without Jaguar stamped on it. It even has the same small red lines running through it. I had both the old Jag one and the new WIX one in my hands. They are the same.

For those interested, the NAPA part number is FIL 2461.

Well, Back to the K & N I've got a 1997 F-350 diesel dually work truck that has been running a K & N for 12 years and 278,000 miles I figure if we can get 300,000 with out major problems they must be doing something right. Also the filter has never collapsed or given us any kind of trouble. We just do routine maintenance on the truck once a year. Hard to believe it has done any damage.
