Airbag Light

Airbag Light
Hello all,
So I'm having this issue with my jag. I have a 97 XK8 convertible.
So I've been doing most the repairs myself thanks to all the seasoned veterans on this site like Gus, XKRacer, Rev Sam, as well as many others.
I was replacing the steering rack and completed it with success till a couple of weeks later and i noticed the airbag light pop up. No codes, no beep, no srs, just a non blinking steady steering airbag light. I was searching through the threads and many were saying to check seat and fuses. I was gearing to try something else.
I noticed that when i turned the steering wheel all the way it will slightly get caught up and then release, also theres a clicking sound. Would I be right in thinking that the airbag connector in the steering wheel is loose and getting caught on the steering. If so anyone know how to remove steering wheel without deploying airbag?
If there is a thread on this already would someone just point me in that direction.
Thanks again guys

Welcome to the forum Jus10,
Pay close attention to the procedure for discharging the capacitors before doing any work on the Airbag!
