Default Airbox Instrumount - What Part Number?

Hi all,

My 1999 XKR's airbox instrumount is broken in two.
Googled it and got to this page: https://www.autoreservejaguar.com/xj...strumount.html
It says over there JAGUAR PART NUMBER: EAC8130 or MNA6730AB.
Ended up finding a new genuine MNA6730AB, however it arrived today and seems much smaller than the original that's currently installed.
Futhermore, on the Jag website the MNA part seems to belong to the cooling system https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic...strumount.html while the EAC one is for the airbox: https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic...strumount.html

Before I send it back and get the EAC8130, am I missing something here?

Edit: Is EAC6805 comprable? According to SNG Barrat it is, and much more affordable online.

Thanks,
Nitch

EAC8130 is the correct part #. I see Jaguar has reached new levels of pricing madness for this item. ~£45 + UK VAT

I'd go with SNG's suggestion at 1/20th of the cost.

Thank you. Sadly SNG is on backorder, hence why I was asking about EAC6805 as well.

Why not just glue your old one back together? Surely all it is are two studs joined together via a rubber body to insulate from vibration - I doubt it's precise calibration is going to be affected by glue.

I'd try and rebuild the part if I couldn't get it or it was prohibitively expensive. Neither of these is true here.

Nitch, you can buy them off E-Bay for CHEAP. Search "double threaded rubber vibration mounts" Seems they were M6 X 15 or 20. M6 thread size and 15-20mm stud length. I keep 3-4 on hand. Similar to the oil cooler and heater pump mounts.

As SNG Barrat won't sell EAC8130 and will only sell EAC6805 instead, however it's currently on back-order, I've ordered EAC6805 on eBay for the whopping sum of £3 including shipping. Stay tuned!

I had to replace all 4 on my oil cooler and just ordered some generic ones from ebay for next to nothing.

They are rubber and threaded at both ends, that is pretty much all they need to be.

Dear future X100 owners. If your flying, electric converted XK8/XKR still uses the airbox for some uknown reason, be aware that EAC6805is identical to EAC8130.
Replacement went well, although getting the spanner to hold the heads of the instrumount was rather hard as they are very slim.
Out with the old, in with the new. At £3 (~$4) inclusive of shipping, it was a no brainer.
