Alignment question
Front ball joint covers are being replaced tomorrow. Have asked for the tracking to be checked as well.
From memory, is the recommendation to have both fronts set around 1' toe in? Cant find anything in my notes file, but I'm sure having this setting helps compensate for the natural movement outwards on travel, thereby diminishing the dreaded inner tyre wear.
Thanks, Jules

I follow the advice of forum member "Brutal" (he is a long-time Jaguar tech in Houston, Texas). Here is what he recommended for XK8 alignment a few years ago:
"Set the front toe to .16 on both sides instead of the more typical .12. I see too much front tire inner edge wear at the typical .12 setting."
That has indeed worked for me for the past several years....
