Hi, gents!

And so it happened...I have finally made it happen .
I wont talk much about it only perhaps that I would not be able to do such a "good" job (within my standards anyhow ) without all the tips suggested via this superb forum!
Perhaps a slight recap could help some other dare devils out there:
Firstly, I opted for the oven method as suggested earlier by XKRacer. The old silver powder came of (mostly) in dishwasher solution, the rest using mineral paint thinner . Removal of the remaining sealant was a real pain though...Finally, the best suited for the job proved to be a non-chlorinated paint thinner.
Now, after masking the inserts as per OEM XKR template (bing image search ) I used the Rust-Oleum Automotive Paint For Plastic Spray, Gloss Black and the VHT SP5251 Plate Finish Chrome Plus to finish it in dual tone.
Next, per XKRacer's recommendation the Sikaflex 221-Black became the weather proof sealant of my choice. Note, you need to help the lens and inserts to conform together (used shipping tape), and leave it cure overnight. Finally, as per Philhelf's suggestion, I used the old sealing rubber after some reconditioning that is, and fixed it to the "new' lenses using the fabulous stress resistant 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape - 1/4in. x 20 Yard Roll.
At the end, it took me a weekend to accomplish specifically because of the 24 hrs curing period. Lastly, my headlight always fogged up after washing or rain, but after the latest (new lens) wash there's no sign of condensation at all ...without the TSB intrusive procedure to be exact.
Hope ya'll are motoring well!

I also love this idea. A small suggestion ( and one that I may regret ) about separating the lense - I did the same on my SEALED Triumph unit, and using a few days worth of soaktime/spray along the seamline with a caulk remover really helps. Big box / Ace hardware carry assorted varieties.

Really depends upon the sealant, and I have not sprayed mine yet...

Well, gents, this forum is a big factor why I can afford to keep JagX around, and make even some visual updates without breaking a bank when money are tight .
Phil, mate, I am always delighted to see a suggestion, and will keep it dutifully noted. I love the DRL style designed by XKRacer, and of course your car is maturing into one stunning work of boundless (expensive ) imagination of yours.
Thanks all, specifically killergsxr1 for the kick in the right direction

Thanks Tony, not sure if I like the silver section in front of the indicators, maybe all black would look better.
