Alloy Wheels Upgrade?
Hi All,
I have stock 17" Lamina wheels on my 2001 XK8 and am tempted to upgrade to the 19" Apollos that became an option from 2002 (they're by far my favourite Jag alloy design). Does anyone know if I will be able to fit these to my 2001 XK8 before I go ahead and purchase?
I understand the Laminas are 8J x 17" while the apollo are 9J x 19" at the rear (8J at front). Does that matter? Excuse my ignorance!
I believe the wheel nut configuration is the same for all MK I XK8s.

Rim sizes
Not a problem, you can even go up to the 20" rims that appeared later. Just ensure you use the correct tire recommendations and there will be minimal difference in the overall circumference of the wheels. Also, it is correct to have narrower rims on the front hence the staggered size wheels.
Apollos's ARE nice but I prefer the Perseus 20's!

I agree with you Raheny, love the look of the 19" apollos! I've seen a few show up on ebay over the last year, and you may be able to use Ken (ken@britishparts) or Andy (jagtechohio) to see if they can find you any also.
BTW, stock front and rear tire sizes on the staggared 19's are 245/40 and 255/40, respectively.
