Default Alpine Navigation DVD

I recently purchased a '04 XKR with the Alpine Navigation system. Can anyone tell me if there are any street maps or POI for Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada (pop 800,000) on it? My disc (Can/US 2001) shows it as a dot on the highway, with only 1/2 dozen streets listed but no maps or POI.

If you have read any of the threads on Jag Nav systems, you'll know the run-a-round they (Jag, Alpine & Navteq) give us. Alpine says they only make the hardware, Navteq says contact Jag as they currently only support the newer (2007+) Denso systems and Jag doesn't know what's on the disc but for $900 Can. they will supply the latest 2003 disc, that's right 2003 was the latest update and the disc is non returnable.

I was just hoping someone out there had the C2N3030 disc and could search for Winnipeg, Manitoba and see what came up.

Thanks, bob

PS: if by chance it does, I would be looking to purchase a disc/copy

Bob,

I have the latest (2003) disc and live in Winnipeg. No POI but there are a few main streets listed. Primarily highways and biways, nothing residential.

What (if anything) does it show for the Vancouver BC area?

I think bob would like to see some screen shots of the area, if you can take a few snaps at different zoom levels borealis.

Sorry Bob, the car was put into storage last week and won't resurface until April or May depending on when the snow finally melts.

Some of you southern folks with the newer disc should be able to zoom in on Vancouver and help Bob out.

thanks for the heads up Borealis, forgot yours hibernates during the winter. Can anyone else with the latest DVD search Winnipeg and see if the residential streets are displayed? I would, but my factory nav is out of commission.

The DVD that came with my car (Jag P/N 4W83-10E898-GA, Alpine P/N BM9JG91F) does pretty good in Vancouver and Edmonton. But one of my destinations, Nanaimo, BC. does not exist.
