Amber: Electrical fault message
Hi guys, I've never seen or read about this one, so let me ask.
Last night, 20 degree Fahrenheit weather, I went for a drive. All ok, smooth. I happened to glance at the speedometer just as I drove over a small pothole (left tires) for a very brief moment, 1/10th of a second or so, i saw amber light and electrical fault message.
Nothing since, but I wanted to run this by you and get ahead of any troubles brewing.
Anyone know what might cause that message?
Thanks,
John

Could have been an ABS warning light. They sometimes flash on briefly when a wheel loses traction for a split second. This can easily occur when running over a pothole or any other major flaw in the pavement. Probably nothing to be concerned about. Keep watching the dash when you are driving on lousy pavement and you will probably see it again....

This AMBER warning in the message centre .....
ELECTRICAL FAULT
..... indicates an ignition supply fault. The handbook suggests there may be reduced electrical operation and most other warning lights will not operate.
I would only worry if it was permanently displayed.
