they are just jumping on the bandwagon, as all the holidays over here (USA) are heavily commercialized. Does the UK still have holidays they are celebrated with the original intent ? If so, my hats off to you. I wish we could do the same.

We do say in the UK that everything is being "Americanised"...Particularly Halloween.
We still have "Bonfire Night" Weddings are becoming more commercialised with american additions to increase profits...Its all about money. We still have 4.54 litres per gallon not 3.74 ha ha and we aint going back to qts.

yes, Guy Fawkes night. Would like to see the celebrations some year.
