Another Avos Twin-Screw Supercharger Kit in USA

The 4.2 that I swapped to is nice and smooth. I'm glad that I did the swap after the effort is now all done. I don't feel like I left something out... and it was worth it.

AVos is the man!
Without his effort, and help from others, this would not have been accomplished.
BTW, folks, all this fun is with a 3.25" pulley on the supercharger. A 3" pulley will be installed onto the supercharger next week...

Blue tops and LSD
The blue-top solenoids and LSD are planned to be installed in about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. The 20" Perseus wheels (9" front and 10" rear) get shod with their new tires late this week. The car is going to become MUCH faster, simply due to having some tread... and some wider tread at that, plus the LSD. I currently have a nearly bald set of tires on the back. They were close to bald prior to the engine swap and supercharger work. As it is right now, I hit the gas and one tire spins like a crazed banshee. The car is incredibly fast, but imagine being able to put power down through BOTH rear wheels at the same time...
The car REALLY likes the water/methanol injection. I already have a good habit of always keeping the supply tank between 1/3 and full, never getting to the low point (avoids the possibility of no supply while low on fluid and cornering hard under heavy throttle). I fill the tank with gas, then I immediately top off the water/methanol tank.

Wow!
The 3" pulley was installed onto the supercharger today. I made sure that the car was 'happy' (no codes).
It is still code-free, even with this massive amount of extra power. When the accelerator is floored you had better be happy about the direction at which the nose is pointed because THAT is where you will be in negative .0001 seconds.
It is like driving a comfortable dragster.
The Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump that AVos has we kit owners use definitely does the job of supplying the gas. Obviously, when the car is being driven in a spirited fashion, the gas mileage probably becomes something like .5 mpg. It doesn't seem like I'm putting more gas in than prior to the supercharger installation. I have done no measuring, but it actually seems like my gas mileage might have improved a slight teeny-weeny bit. Of course, the 4.0 that got replaced by the 4.2 was in nasty condition.
A buddy of mine will shoot a video of the car doing its thing while I drive on Sunday morning. =)
EDIT: This car is no longer a Jaguar... it is a lunar launch vehicle capable of taking 2 adults and 2 kids to the moon in style.

I just love the direct power as well as you apply the throttle, it's just there all over the rev range and thank goodness to the rev limiter you’ll stay out of orbit. Mhhh that reminds me of my next project "remove the rev limiter".

Brakes
No insult intended to owners of stock Jaguars (seriously!), but what I've created with this monstrously high level of horsepower, without having upgraded the brakes yet, is a bit like throwing a big motor onto a wooden go-kart.
I have been preparing to put on some better brakes. That will be coming!

How did a Camero sneak into this Jaguar forum? :-P

Jeff, I just love his tread, but I have to warn you about the rev limit.
When you raise the pressure/boost level, the rev limit goes DOWN, the reason being that the pressure will actually push the valve open, therefore more spring pressure is required to close/keep the valve following the cam.

A couple of hundred extra rpms will not be of risk (I was thinking only 300 or so more), but so far have not been able to find the rpm limiter in the software (with help of tuner of course) .
Going to a smaller pulley (so smaller then 3.0" with the 4.2 lower pulley) would be very risky and more adjustments than just stronger valve springs are needed there.
