Default Another Cup holder

I'm having a shop build a retainer for a cup holder I found for a 2016 Mazda MX5 Miata. The retainer ideally will slip under the side of the console on the right side and be below an open glove box door. The reason for slipping it under the console is to be able to remove it easily to wash it and reinstall it. Once done, I will forward pictures. Wish me luck! I might even paint it to match?

Is it like the removable cup holders in the New Fiat 124? At the auto show I was trying to see how they fold in and seeing me struggling, the car show girl yoinks it out of the slot and puts it back in its "storage" location between the seats.

"oh" I rolled my eyes and got out of the car. I guess I was expecting too much. The car also had some of the worst paint matching between nose and body I have seen on a car since the 1969 Dodge Daytona. Completely different shades of pearl.

Yes, same cup holder. The Fiat 124 is built on the same assembly line as the Mazda MX5. Virtually the same interior appointments. An Italian car built in Japan and brought to the U.S. on a boat!
