Hi Guys and Gals
Finally pulled the trigger on a 2006 XK8 yesterday. 114K Miles with limited history, but price was right and she came with the carbon fibre package and two tone seats, which I really fancy. As expected, some wear and tear, but compared to some she looks pretty good cosmetically. Needs some half shaft u-joints and front upper bushes, but sounds like previous owner did a good job chasing a bunch of electrical gremlins.
Anyways, glad to be finally part of the club.
Theo

114.000 miles ? That’s barely broken in ! I bet it still has the new car smell.

Fix those minor issues and hit the open road before winter sets in and you have to put the top up .

welcome !

Z

PS: these cars last longer when driven often. It may be counterintuitive, but just sitting in the garage unused leads to a variety of problems that regular driving helps to avoid, fuel pump failure tops that list.

Thanks, I intend to drive it lots. I am a fair weather driver though. Just hope that winter weather will cooperate with some nice crisp dry days..
