Another oil pressure thing

Hey - a super weird oils pressure issue after a recent change of 2 oil seals.
When the engine runs and the car is moving all looks well. However as soon as the car pulls up to a stop (engine stop) it immediately shows low pressure. The shop confirmed the pressure is low but could give no help as to why it’s happening, particularly at stand still. I see others have had something similar but now quite the same.
anyone?

Difficult to understand the scenario.
You say oil pressure is low when engine stops. Yep this is normal, pressure drops to zero
It's normal for oil pressure to increase with engine revs although the standard XK8 gauge does not show this due to programming.
Only the after market 'Real Gauge' installation would reveal the true relationship between engine revs and oil pressure. Could your car have this fitted?
What oil seals were replaced?

I believe the oil pressure "sensor" is just an on/off switch. It is located by the oil filter, pretty easy to access and replace. I would start there.
The better answer is to put an oil pressure gauge there and have an actual reading.
Low oil pressure can be the symptom of cracked/loose parts of the various chain tensioners having fallen down in the sump and clogging the pump pickup. This can only adequately diagnosed by removing the oil pan and having a look.
Best of luck, keep us posted.
