Hey All...
I see some different terms being used here... bushings... mounts, etc. I'm going to install new bushings for the front shocks (which are brand new, but didn't come with bushings), and please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding was that for a 2001 VDP, you need 4 bushings (2 for top, 2 for bottom)... and this is what they look like: Amazon.com: OES Genuine Shock Bushing for select Jaguar models: Automotive
Am I correct here? I know I COULD replace the upper MOUNTS, but if it's only the BUSHINGS that need replacement, why replace the mounts?
Thanks so much,
SirJag

SirJag;
You may be confusing the parts.....OR your bushing setup is completely different. Those wouldn't fit anywhere in the shock/mount/A-arm components of the XK8. I can't imagine any XK8 shock coming without the lower bushings already installed since they would have to be pressed or pounded in. The XK8 upper mount "bushings" are shaped different. And none of the A-arm bushings would look like that.
But I'm sure one of our more experienced Jag members will know.
