Another solution for Fog Lights
Hey guys,
Its been a while since I've posted here (about 4 months) ever since someone crashed into my XK8. Since then I've been slowly chipping away and bringing it back to it being my daily driver once again. I hoping sometime in Jan 2017 to get it back in full gear with a total new look. I have a few tricks up my sleeve and I just wanted to share one of them.
For those that just can't see themselves paying the high price for the OEM foglights that look dated, heres what I did. I ordered these from ebay for a measly $34.00 a pair. Had my mechanic install them with the mounts they come with inside the original black casing of the fog lights then he put silicone around them. Results were a flush look. I will post more pictures later but heres one with the lights on.

I believe my mechanic did so - so that they would light the correct area appropriately . They look even when I'm driving on the road. Ill do a straight shot pic of both of them head on and post. Right now the cars back in the shop replacing the halos on the headlights with some brighter ones.

alternative
Well what I meant to say is they are an alternative to buying the original fog light part. They are much cheaper = $34 the pair versus $130 each side. They have the wiring for DRL were just the halo ring will light up and the other wire is for when your head lights are on = both the halo and the center light of the fog light will light up. I know it might not be to everyone's taste but I'm just putting it out there if someone may be interested.
