Which antifreeze to use
The antifreeze level in my2006 XK8 looks like could stand a topup. The warning light hasn't come on. The level looks like it is close to the bottom of the fill tank.
I figured I would just go into Pep Boys and get the orange stuff and mix it with distilled water. The document in Pep Boys by the antifreeze said there were two kinds of orange. Said they were different. Said one was for GM cars. The other was for Chrysler. I did not buy anything.
Any advice regarding the specific antifreeze I should use?
Thanks,
Jack

I purchased Pentofrost SF silicate free from O'Reilly's. It meets ASTM D-3306. The data sheet says that it is recommended by Jaguar. Here is the link: http://www.pentosin.net/specsheets/Pentofrost_SF.pdf
It comes in 1.5L and is full strength. I plan to mix 50/50 as the spec sheet recommends.
Cost was $11.99. I will use it on my '01 XKR and my '04 XJ8.
