Default Any reliable vendors known here in Jaguar Forums for Jaguar transmission rebuilds?

Is there a reliable, Jaguar Forums community-known vendor that rebuilds transmissions for the Jaguar XJ8? (The 1998 Jaguar XJ8 Landen Plas, with the 4.0 Liter V-8 and the ZF5HP24 transmission, to be exact.)

I live in a rural area, with larger cities about 40 miles away. But finding a reputable transmission rebuilder that can rebuild the Jaguar trans AND also knows what I'm talking about when speaking of wanting the A-Drum and Valve Body upgrades, seems to be impossible, so far.

The closest Jaguar dealerships are a minimum of 200+ miles away, in any direction from me.

Thanks for any help or advice on this matter!

Regards, Craig (firstchoice)

I had my 1997 XK8 transmission rebuilt when the car was in Omaha and I was in Alaska. I went for one with nationwide service. They have one in Kansas City. I have put over 8000 miles on it since the rebuild.

Is it true earlier model years XK8/XJ8 were more prone to fail with the ZF5HP24 than later models years fitted with it?

try Eriksson - Jaguar You will need to remove bad and reinstall the rebuilt but for the price below is what they quoted me this past December:

Our price is $2295.00 plus $700 core deposit and freight ($400 to SC and return)
Transmission comes with torque converter, is full of OE oil, and dyno tested. Warranty is one year unlimited miles. We would need about a week before we could ship it.
