Excellent stuff Steve. Thanks! At least I'm not looking (I hope) at one of those solder fixes. I'm good at soldering - just not too keen on removing the box (and all the gremlins I've heard that invites!).
I'm going to clean the A/S senors again soon. I saw a pic of them with three metal strips showing on the p/u face. Are mine the same? Last time I cleaned them, I didn't notice. I'll check the wires at that time too.
Ciao!

You may also want to check the condition of your wheel speed sensors....
When you clean your wheel speed sensors with a toothbrush, notice the four small holes in the tip of each sensor. On my wife's XK8, these small holes tend to clog with grime and debris. Scrubbing them with a toothbrush is not enough. I now use the end of a bent-out paper clip to ream these small holes clean. Thus far that additional effort has kept the dashboard warning lights and messages quiet. I'm cleaning the sensors at every oil & filter / tire rotation (6,000 mile intervals). But I'm finding that may not be frequent enough depending upon road and weather conditions....

I have cleaned my sensors very well and I only see two holes one in the top middle and one at the bottom middle of the 3 metal (magnetic) strips. The holes do not go anywhere they are not deep or wide...
What do you mean by four holes? I do not see four holes. My sensor Jaguar part numbers are LJA 2226AA they have 2 holes (top and Bottom) and 3 strips of metal (magnetic).
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY ABS SYSTEM LIGHTS, PLEASE REFER TO MY THREAD.
THANKS
HAPPY MOTORING...
