Audio Question from someone new to the concept
Currently i have the interior out of the car for some upgrades and need a recommendation.
What would be the most appropriate cable to run from the center console to feed USB digital audio to the CD changer connection while still maintaining the CD functionality. something like a Y connection. Would it be better to convert the USB to audio out with a DAC AMP at the phone and then send it to the boot via a high quality analog cable which would interface with the CD connection?

Surprisingly this is actually not an easy task. The easiest way I have found although I have not done it myself as of yet is to run an RCA cable from the CD change AI-NET board spliced in to a 3.5mm input. The problem is splicing the ground from the RCA because it's integrated into the outside of the left and right chanels in the RCA cable to the AI-NET interface inside the CD changer. I have no idea why Jaguar thought it was a good idea to make the entire audio system so overly complicated. Yo'u could pay over £100 to get a cable from the US that can give you a 3.5mm audio input but that's a lot of money for a cable. As for USB I have no idea, I don't think that would be possible but I'm no electrician. A wired FM modulator is also a good idea.
